Our Vision

Helping our community is our passion.

In 2015, a woman reached out in a local mom’s group on Facebook. She was seeking volunteers to start a local Christmas charity via Facebook. This charity would be a little different than the rest. It would be one that helped children on a more individual and personal level. Run entirely through Facebook, Helping Seacoast Families for Christmas has helped over 1,000 children experience Christmas magic since its conception. Children all over the seacoast are in need and we are trying to build that bridge in the community to fill the needs surrounding the holiday season.

Each year we have grown to help more children and expanded our areas of outreach. We have added more volunteers to help with the growing needs of the children in our community. Besides providing gifts, we help facilitate relationships. Unlike many charities, our adopters have the choice to speak directly with the family of the child or children they have chosen to adopt. This creates a personalized approach to philanthropy and gives more insight into specific needs and wants. On Christmas morning the group page is filled with pictures of smiling children with their new gifts that they wouldn’t have gotten to open otherwise.

Our goal for the future is expansion. We want to help more children in the seacoast, and eventually the state experience some of the same magic of their own. We want to expand to help with other fun through the year with birthday parties, providing a gift, some balloons, and a cake. To accomplish our future goals, we need to reach more community members looking for a way to help.
